    The case of the RM 052 watch needs to go through 86 stamping processes. Only the three major parts of the case (bezel, ring and case back cover) need to go through 49 processes. The cutting and milling processes can only be performed after all of them are completed. Reducing the weight of the case by making holes in the bezel and case back, this is the first case of Richard Mille. The original skeleton case with skull skeleton movement is the icing on the cake.
    Making a Richard Mille case takes 20 hours to debug the machine and 30 hours to program. The case requires 255 machining processes, and the finishing process includes a 5-hour mercerizing sanding and polishing process. Only with a sophisticated case such as a professional and complicated five-axis machine tool can it be successfully made. The ‘Richard Mille’ relief lettering on each case also takes 45 minutes. The bevelled edges of the case columns, the bezel and the holes in the case back are polished by hand.
    The three-piece case is water-resistant to 50 meters with two Ding Qing O-rings. The case is assembled with 20 Grade 5 titanium alloy spline screws and wear-resistant 316L stainless steel washers.
